How's this for eco-friendly.
Yeah I'd have to say emulsion, but that's just a by-product for me. Eco-friendly is a bigger deal in other parts of the country than it is in Texas. Around here, in the hail belt, they want them to be cheap and last a long time - emulsion does that.
Same goes for the car wash business. I was at the car wash convention in Vegas awhile back and it looked like easily 1/3 of the booths/companies were playing into the green thing big time. Every green product I've tried at my car wash was vastly inferior to standard soaps and waxes. How eco-friendly is a soap that is gentle on the environment but doesn't do a good job of washing the car, forcing the owner to go to another car wash, use another 90 gallons of water, and standard soap, to get it clean?
That said, I agree that it's hard to beat the eco-friendliness of a roofing system that is designed to not fill the landfills with tear off.
A system that requires no tear off (no disposal), that is renewable and is biodegradable... I know where your headed. The chopped fiberglass emulsion system cannot be touched in this area. There are plenty of hacks and hope floaters but when done correctly no system in the world is better.
Sorry i ment ecofriendly flat roof. thanks
Recycled tile or slate.
