Roofing - Commercial / Federal Government
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience, 5+ years’ preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with crew to complete all aspects of jobs assigned by the company, including tear-off, repairs, installation and other jobs as assigned.
o Be on time for all shifts and ready to go at the assigned time with all personal tools and PPE.
o Ability to pay attention to quality and safety with a goal of installing correctly and working safely, and a willingness to make improvements.
o Ability to observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly and effectively.
o Ability to work quickly and accurately to meet productivity standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of CYE preferred roofing systems.
o Ability to perform all aspects of built-up, single-ply & modified roofing systems to include flashing and metal edge detail work as well as gutter and downspout work.
o Ability to understand and install all types of insulation systems - (including full tapered systems and their attachment).
o Ability to flash all types of penetrations that are commonly found on all roof systems.
o Ability to review/understand/execute most manufacturer's details used in the industry.
• Must be able to work effectively with team members and customers.
o Ability to work with others to accomplish goals.
o Assist Foreman with balancing team and individual responsibilities.
o Provide team with informative feedback
Requirements:
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and work in extreme temperatures
• Able to climb up and down ladders to minimum heights of 25 feet
• Must not be afraid of heights
• Have reliable transportation
• Able to work Saturday, Sunday and/or Holidays, as needed
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must pass a drug test and pass government background check to access military base.
• Equipment Operator certification(s) preferred
• Preferred, but not required; OSHA 10 hour/30-hour card
