A qualified candidate will be responsible for field testing for new product development, weathering site installation and audits, innovative application techniques, and training of application of new products to internal teammates. This will include roofing system products for all FSBP and GACO. This includes membranes, metal, adhesives, insulation, coatings, and spray foam.

The essential functions of this position could include, but are not limited to the following:
•Understanding of the commercial low slope roofing systems and building envelope, including functional knowledge of products, system design, installation compliance, overall building design & construction, and code compliance.
•An understanding of the test methods and design criteria for applicable products and systems, including the ability to learn new methods for innovative products.
•An in depth understanding of contractor application techniques and job functions as well as the ability to help them build new capabilities so they can use innovative products.
•Excellent interpersonal skills dealing with a broad range of people both internal and external.
•Scheduling materials, jobs, working with R&D teammates, product managers, contractors, owners, and consultants.
•A thorough understanding of new roof versus re-roof applications. An ability to understand the innovative products and how to recommend them to our test contractors.
•A thorough understanding of roof top safety.
•Over night travel up to 70%.
•Reporting on new products and development projects.
•Support of the overall company strategy and the tactics to deliver on the strategic goals.
•Must be highly proficient with MS Office.
•Must be able to lead application projects and work with cross functional groups to achieve project milestones and objectives.
•Innovate new application techniques or product offerings that will add value to the contractors that apply the systems.

Qualifications include:
Minimum 15 years related experience in the commercial roofing field. Desired candidate will have minimum 15 years experience practicing application installation, inspection, roofing take offs, scheduling, and warranty compliance in the commercial roofing/building envelope market. Technical acumen to understand innovative materials and products and teach them to contractors.
