Roofing is serious business, but we believe employees are part of our family and we all should have a bit of fun in our day. We're looking for someone who wants to become the newest member of our family to oversee new construction and reroofing projects. The construction manager works with the project manager, technicians and subcontractors to ensure the successful and profitable completion of roofing installations.

What will you do?

* Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure specifications are being met.
* Act as the first point of contact for crews, delegate project responsibilities to the crew foreman as required to better manage his time, job profitability, and the project overall.
* Maintain the highest standard of safety controls over projects and always report infractions to project manager.
* Purchase and schedule all labor and materials after initial project buyout by project manager, organizing delivery of additional materials, roof access equipment, dumpsters, and labor as needed if within the project budget.
* Advise project manager of any deviation from plans, scope, or if any field conditions deviate from plans. Relay and document change order information to project manager for pricing.
* Oversee material inventories to ensure no shortages or delays.
* Problem solve in the field with GC and crews if within the quoted scope & budget. Only deviations should require the involvement of project manager.

What experience should you have?

* Proficient in low slope roofing systems including metal, TPO, EPDM, PVC & Modified Bitumen/Asphalt. Shingles is a plus but not required.
* 2-3 years' experience as a project or construction manager/superintendent
* Strong ability to lead others
* Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight
* Strong time management and organization skills
* Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work strenuously (bending, lifting, stooping) in all-weather environments
* Working knowledge of basic math skills for material calculations
* Open availability Monday through Friday with the possibility of working weekends and on-call as business needs determine
* Excellent presentation, communication, writing, and listening skills
