Workers can Train from Home with Training for Roof Application Careers

NRCA Working from Home
April 12, 2020 at 6:00 a.m.

By NRCA.

NRCA’s Training for Roof Application Careers, a blend of online and hands-on training your company can use to transform your new and inexperienced employees into quality roof system installers.

Workers can start learning how to become quality roof system installers—from home—by taking the online portions of TRAC now while practicing social distancing.

NRCA currently offers the TRAC Thermoplastic Roof Membrane Installation package; TRAC Asphalt Shingle Installation package; TRAC Low-slope Onboarding package; and TRAC Steep-slope Onboarding package. A one-time purchase gives you unlimited use of the training materials so you can train your employees when it is best for you.

More information about TARC:

NRCA's award-winning Training for Roof Application Careers, that includes both English and Spanish content, is training your company can use to provide new and inexperienced field workers with information and skills to help them become quality roof system installers who thrive in their careers.

There currently are four packages available for purchase:

TRAC ultimately will include each roof system. A TRAC package for foremen is coming in 2020!

TRAC is designed to provide new and inexperienced employees with "conversational competence." This means they understand:

  • Terminology that helps them engage with foremen and crew members in helpful, rather than burdensome, ways

  • Concepts familiar to the roofing trade

  • Duties and responsibilities they can expect to engage in as crew members

  • Hands-on skills (included in certain packages) they will develop in their journeys to becoming competent

  • Your company will take the time to train them rather than using a "sink or swim" method of onboarding
