Team JM Rides to Raise $50,000 for the MS society

Johns Manville grabbed their bikes to change the world for people with MS. 

Bike MS is one of the largest fundraising cycling series in the world, encouraging people to ride together to change the world for people with MS. The ride brings Johns Manville employees, customers, suppliers, family members and friends together to help support the nearly one million people who live with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the U.S. 

Johns Manville have been a longtime supporter of the event, tallying their 24th year of volunteering and riding in a bike event. The group of riders who show their support while representing Johns Manville — known as Team JM — rides to raise money which will help fund critical research toward treatments and a cure. 

This year also marks JM’s fourth year hosting a rest stop at Berthoud High School. JM volunteers spent the day serving lunch, snacks and beverages to the riders, and worked to keep riders safe from the thunderstorms and difficult course conditions which presented themselves throughout the day. 

“As a fourth-year co-captain, it has been an honor volunteering at MS150 each year,” said Andrea Shen, senior category manager. “One of my college friends was diagnosed with MS a few years ago, making this cause a lot more personal. I volunteer because simply stated: Actions speak louder than words."
