Roofing Road Trips with Heidi: Visiting Canada

RoofersCoffeeShop® is loving Canada.

In the spring of 2019, RoofersCoffeeShop headed out to Montreal, Canada to meet with the Canadian roofing industry as we launched our RCS services into Canada.  Tim and I were on the road again, this time figuring out how to maneuver customs and the French language; it was great.

The Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA), led by Bob Brunet, welcomed us with open arms as we exhibited at their bi-annual national roofing show, ROOFTech.  Working the great team at Informa and CRCA, we were able to not only exhibit, but we were able to help promote and be a part of this great show.  Thank you to all who welcomed us!

We joined many excellent manufacturers, distributors and regional Canadian associations as they shared new ideas and trends with Canadian roofing contractors. The 14th bi-annual was a "hands-on" educational experience focusing on all aspects of roofing for roofing contractors plus a large number of architects, building inspectors, general contractors, engineers, property managers, roofing consultants and specifiers.  It was much more than just a typical trade show; it was an experience.

It was fun catching up with our RCS advertisers and friends who are selling products and services in Canada.  A big reason that we wanted to attend was to share our newly launched Canadian offerings on the Coffee Shop.  We are so proud to now provide Canadian classifieds and all the great information and entertainment of the Coffee Shop to the Canadian roofing industry. 

In fact, as of February 2019, the Coffee Shop launched into Canada and enabled language translation for Spanish and French.  We know that a large number of roofing professionals speak Spanish and/or French and with our launch into Canada, we wanted to be sure that everyone knows what is happening and feels welcomed on the site no matter if they speak French, Spanish or English.  The opportunity to utilize the RCS Classifieds in the U.S. and Canada in multiple languages is powerful for our industry.  And believe me, we were blown away with the beauty of the French language and culture in Montreal.

The following RCS Partners were there with us and we had a great time catching up and talking about the opportunities we saw in Canada for all involved.  A special shout out to all of them for their involvement in the Canadian roofing industry: Beacon Roofing Systems , DECRA Roofing Systems, DuPont Performance Building Solutions, EagleView, GAF , IKO , KARNAK, National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) , SOPREMA and Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance.
