Providing Excellent Customer Service as a Contractor

Everyone says that their company provides good customer service, but what does it look like?

In a recent blog post shared by Beacon Roofing Supply, they discuss exactly how contractors can provide excellent customer service. They note that good customer service leads to increased customer referrals which means improved cash flows.

It’s important to take the time to define just what good customer service means for your particular company. Meet with your leadership team and talk about your current processes. Create a customer experience playbook that can be shared with all employees, so they understand the importance of providing a great experience for every customer.

Always remember that your crews are the face of your business and they need to understand the service experience that you want to provide for every customer. Remember to include what to do on the rare occasion when a customer might not be satisfied. Help your team understand the process and empower them to remedy the situation.

In the article, Beacon Roofing Supply shares six ways to make your team and your business excel at customer satisfaction. They stress the importance of communication because it’s easy to forget that “…what is common knowledge to you is a mystery to your customers.” Communication goes both ways as well. They share the importance of asking questions and listening to your customers.
