MCA Welcomes New Board Members

ATAS MCA Welcomes New Board Members
May 24, 2020 at 6:00 a.m.

The Metal Construction Association (MCA) is proud to announce three new members to its executive committee and four new members to its board.

Their collective experience and leadership will continue to expand MCA’s role and vision for the development of the metal construction industry. MCA is honored to be served by the following members.

James Bush will serve as chairman of the executive committee. He is the vice president of sales and marketing for ATAS International, Inc. Bush has previously served as the chairperson of the MCA retrofit council, MCA roofing certification committee and as the past organizer and leader of the demonstration area at METALCON, the industry's major trade show. He was inducted into the Metal Construction News Hall of Fame in 2014.

“We are facing new challenges in our industry from building codes to market development,” Bush says. “But with new challenges come new opportunities. MCA’s work in technical research, codes and standards and marketing, position the organization and its members at the forefront of the metal building industry.”

Joining Bush on the Executive Committee are new Chairman-Elect/Treasurer Brian Partyka of Drexel Metals and new Secretary JB Wissman, with Dimensional Metals, Inc.

The three join current executive committee members: Past Chairman Ed Karper of Dura Coat, Technical Committee Chairman David Stermer of Metal Sales, Market Development Committee Chairman, Dave Durham of U.S. Steel, and Governance Committee Vice Chairman Dick Bus of ATAS International, Inc.

In addition, the board also welcomes new directors Michael Beck of Accurate Perforating, Chandler Barden of Cidan Machinery, Miguel Pena of GSSI Sealants, Inc., and Brian Jaks of Green Span Profiles.

They will join current directors Bill Hartford of Sherwin-Williams, John Paul Lawrence of Modern Trade Communications, Inc., Scott Moffat of PPG Industries, Inc., Zeke Miller of the Miller-Clapperton Partnership, Inc., and Cindy DeBellis of SFS Group USA, Inc..

MCA member companies benefit from participation in association activities and connections among suppliers and industry leaders in research, codes and standards, market development, and technical programs. The association works to increase the use of metal materials in construction by educating the building and design communities about the benefits of metal.
