Blue Tarps Won’t Last for a Year

Stormseal Blue Tarps

By Stormseal.

With nearly every home’s roof damaged, contractors won’t have time for callbacks.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has implemented Operation Blue Roof in Lake Charles, Louisiana and other locations that have been severely damaged by Hurricane Laura. Storm chasing contractors are also in the area tarping damaged roofs. With damages estimated by property information and data firm CoreLogic at anywhere from $8 - $12 billion dollars, repairs could take at least 12 months.

Property owners are going to grow weary of constantly having to call their contractor back after their tarps repeatedly blow off. Not to mention that tarps flap in the wind and can allow water to penetrate the home, causing even more damage.

Contractors in the area are encouraged to become Stormseal certified to meet the increased demand for a true, watertight solution that can provide long-term temporary protection. Stormseal is an innovative storm protection solution that heat shrinks to the structure, providing superior protection over flapping tarps that lead to callbacks and additional damage.

Contractors who want to become a Stormseal installer must sign up for a two-day training at the company’s Florida or Wisconsin training center. Trainings are scheduled monthly through the end of the year.

Stormseal has protected more than 4,000 properties in the United States and over 9,000 nationwide. Waterproof, able to withstand hail and 100 mile per hour winds, Stormseal is the smart choice for temporary protection.

About Stormseal

Stormseal is a strong polyethylene film that heat-shrinks to cover a damaged structure and stays put until permanent repairs are made. When Stormseal is installed on a damaged roof or wall, the application of heat shrinks the film, enhancing its strength and ensuring a perfect fit to the structure, without damaging any underlying materials.
