Bitec Expands its Imper-Sol™ Line of Coatings

Bitec adds new line of fluid-applied roof preservation solutions and accessories to their elastomeric coatings.  

Bitec recently expanded its line of restoration products to include several new Imper-Sol coatings and accessories, adding rubber and silicone products to its existing line of elastomeric coatings. 

“Bitec has been in elastomeric coatings for many years now, but we've decided to expand that to include rubberized coatings and silicone products, as well as accessories,” explained Alan Tatum, Bitec’s technical manager. “So we've got a full line of restoration products — or as we like to call them preservation products.” 

This new premium line of fluid-applied roof preservation solutions includes: 

• Imper-Sol SI Silicone Roof Coating - A high solids, low VOC, one-part silicone elastomeric coating used as a protective coating over numerous roof substrates. This silicone coating provides a durable, seamless, flexible waterproof membrane that resists lateral movement, shear and will allow for expansion and contraction.  

• Imper-Sol EB All-in-One Roof Coating - A rubber-based topcoat with excellent waterproofing and UV resistance. This one-component product adheres strongly to properly prepared surfaces and contains a primer and bleed blocker for a one-coat application.  

• Imper-Sol EB EP Roof Coatings - A rubber-based, thermally stable topcoat that resists cracking and peeling from extreme weather. It provides excellent waterproofing and UV resistance and adheres well to properly prepared surfaces. 

• Imper-Sol AC Acrylic Roof Coatings - An elastomeric, water-based topcoat with excellent waterproofing and UV resistance. They contain bleed blocking polymers that eliminate the need for primers.   

These high-performance coatings provide customers with a sustainable option for extending the life of their roof system by eliminating the need for a full tear-off and replacement. 

Several Imper-Sol accessories were also added to Bitec’s line of products to enhance and complement the coating systems. Customer response to the new products has been positive so far, and Bitec can’t wait to get out in the field and promote them even more.
