ABC Supply is Committed to Providing Veterans With Employment Opportunities

The company lived their core value of American pride by becoming 1,000th partner of the U.S. Army’s Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program. 

ABC Supply wants veterans to know that they stand behind them. By partnering with U.S. Army’s Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) Program, ABC Supply provides opportunities to veterans for a career in roofing. PaYS is a program that sees the U.S. Army, corporations, companies and public sector agencies working together to create employment for members of the Army after they have served. This program allows for veterans to have a career after serving their country and gain valuable professional skills. With American Pride as a Core Value, ABC Supply became a partner in this program supporting the Veterans Opportunity to Work (VOW) Act. 

Military members learn skills like problem-solving, personal responsibility and teamwork, which makes them a great addition to ABC Supply and translates well to serving our customers. 

We’ve hired more than 1,500 veterans since 2017. We also partner with veteran support programs like Military.com, RecruitMilitary and Homes For Our Troops to bring our dedication to our armed forces to life, but we wanted to take it one step further by making our PaYS partnership official. 

We celebrated the new partnership on the Army’s 246th birthday at an outdoor event at our National Support Center in Beloit, Wisconsin. The event kicked off with the national anthem sung by “The Anthem Singer,” Jim Cornelison — best known for singing before Chicago Blackhawks games. 

Our Chairman Diane Hendricks, CEO and President Keith Rozolis, and two U.S. Army officials also talked about what makes the veteran employment opportunities so special and important for all involved.    

“I am very excited about the possibilities that lie ahead of us as we commit to this partnership,” said U.S. Army LTC Collin Keenan, Milwaukee Recruiting Battalion commander. “There are currently more than 5.9 million PaYS jobs available to our soldiers. That’s an amazing number and a true testament to the commitment and support our PaYS partners provide.” 

Keith added that our goal is to find opportunities at every level and division of the company. “ABC Supply is committed to helping our military professionals as they transition to civilian life by providing them an opportunity to begin a career here.” 

Diane added how much she and ABC Supply love our armed forces, sharing, “This relationship is the epitome of another dream come true for this company. We’re so excited to welcome more Army veterans into the ABC family.”  

Diane also shared that ABC Supply was built on a dream and that she hopes this partnership helps many veterans continue to live their dreams after their service has ended. Our partnership continues our commitment to providing career opportunities to those who are serving or have served in our military.
