Patented process transforms hard-to-recycle plastics into wax additives

RoofersCoffeeShop.com, the place where the industry meets for technology, information and everyday business, is pleased to welcome GreenMantra Technologies. Utilizing a proprietary technology and patented process to cost-effectively transform hard-to-recycle plastics, such as grocery bags or other films, into wax additives, GreenMantra provides a series of products that improve the asphalt shingles strength and temperature stability for SBS and APP modified asphalt.

Over the years, contractors continue to see technology improvements in the manufacturing of shingles including algae protection and hail resistance. GreenMantra is focused on the performance of asphalt through the use of its Ceranovus A Series waxes. The waxes which are synthesized from 100% recycled materials, improve line speed and processing times in the manufacturing of SBS and APP modified asphalt shingles. In addition, their wax additives scavenge oil, and help reduce bleeding of lights or volatiles. When combined with air blowing and oxidation applications, it can also reduce oxidation times and emissions.

“Our Ceranovus A Series waxes are designed to stabilize or increase the softening point of the asphalt while decreasing penetration without impacting cold temperature performance,” stated Domenic Di Mondo, Technical Director for GreenMantra Technologies. “GreenMantra products are a strong enhancement additive for both SBS and APP modified bitumen providing optimum polymer dispersion and heat stability. For SBS and APP modified shingles that means increased cold and warm weather performance during installation.”

RoofersCoffeeShop.com is proud to welcome GreenMantra Technologies as they offer strong technological improvements for roofing products making roofing production in the field faster and more productive.
