Composite Products Featured in DaVinci Roofscapes® Booth at 2021 IRE

DaVinci Composite Products Featured
August 3, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.

Several of DaVinci’s newest product offerings will be focal products within the company’s booth.

DaVinci Roofscapes® will display a full range of the company’s composite slate and shake products in their booth (#1455) at the 2021 International Roofing Expo in August. Several of DaVinci’s newest product offerings, including DaVinci Select Shake, DaVinci Hand-Split Siding and Bellaforté Shake in Nature Crafted Colors will be focal products within the company’s booth.

DaVinci Select Shake

The recently-introduced fourth shake profile from DaVinci has quickly become a favorite with roofers and homeowners. DaVinci Select Shake features multi-width tiles with the authentic look of real cedar shake taken from natural wood profiles.

Available in eight- and 10-inch widths, each DaVinci Select Shake tile is 22-inches long and has a 5/8-inch thickness. The 10-inch wide pieces have a simulated keyway to give the appearance of four- and six-inch width shakes placed together. The unique tile design of DaVinci Select Shake allows for faster installation than previous DaVinci single- and multi-width products.

The DaVinci Select Shake product line comes in eight color blends, including Autumn, Chesapeake, Mountain, Tahoe and Weathered Gray. The additional three color blends come from the Nature Crafted Collection and include Aged Cedar, Black Oak and Mossy Cedar.

DaVinci Hand-Split Siding

Featuring the appearance of authentic cedar shakes, DaVinci Hand-Split Shake Siding products are available in eight colors including: Bark, Granite, Sage, Slate Blue and Taupe. Three additional color blends from the Nature Crafted Collection are also available as siding, including: Aged Cedar, Black Oak and Mossy Cedar.

Just like all DaVinci roofing products, the composite siding shakes resist impact, fire, mold, algae, insects, salt air and high winds. And, while they’ll look as attractive as real cedar, they won’t curl, cup or split like real cedar.

Each tile in the siding line is 18-inches tall with a 5/8-inch thickness and comes in eight- or 10-inch widths. The 10-inch wide pieces have a simulated keyway to give the appearance of four- and six-inch width shakes placed together to provide a multi-width appearance.

Made to withstand weather conditions on the roof, the DaVinci Hand-Split Shake Siding tiles are ideal for the exterior walls of a home. Made of virgin resins, UV and thermal stabilizers plus a highly-specialized fire retardant, the siding is resistant to expansion and contraction that can happen with fluctuating weather conditions and temperatures.

Bellaforté Shake – Nature Crafted Colors

Bellaforté, the most affordable shake product available from DaVinci Roofscapes, now comes in the three unique colors of the company’s Nature Crafted Collection: Black Oak, Aged Cedar and Mossy Cedar. Homeowners have gravitated to the nature-inspired colors that replicate different progressive aging processes found on real shake shingles.

“The Nature Crafted Collection captures the look of a moment and retains it for decades,” says Wendy Bruch, marketing manager at DaVinci Roofscapes. “The popularity of these colors is so great that we have expanded them to our durable Bellaforté Shake tiles.”

Proprietary process technology at DaVinci Roofscapes allows the company to recreate the natural warmth and soft patinas found in the Nature Crafted Collection.

The Black Oak color reminds people of natural cedar shingles that have been saturated with moisture and mold for many years. The color tells the story of dark, aged mature-looking cedar on a home. The Aged Cedar color reflects a burnt reddish cedar tone. This color is generally found when there's a transition from a new cedar shake roof into the weathered deeper tone. Mossy Cedar features a damp, greenish character. While in real cedar this is achieved by moss and lichen that are not good for the longevity of the roof, the color is one that people desire for their natural-looking shake roofs.

Each Bellaforté Shake tile features staggered edges, color variations and dramatic shadows that contribute to a truly realistic appearance. All DaVinci products are impact- and fire-resistant, and meet high-wind and accelerated weathering testing.
