Modified Bitumen
Modified Bitumen roofs are asphalt based, multi-ply systems generally consisting of 2 or 3 layers of composite rolls. Most modified bitumen membranes are designed using an APP or SBS modifier. Typically covered with a protective coating or granules, modified bitumen roofs are considered one the most durable types of flat roofing. These roof coverings can be applied using hot asphalt, torching, or with a cold adhesive. A 20 or 30 year manufacturer’s No Dollar Limit Warranty covering material and workmanship can be provided for this roof system.
Single Ply
With the advancement of roofing technology, singly ply roof systems have become much more prominent. The most common types of single ply systems include: PVC, TPO, and EPDM. These roof coverings are becoming popular due to their upfront cost savings and reflectivity benefits which lead to long term cost savings. Typical installation methods include mechanically fastened, fully adhered, or ballasted. A 20 or 30 year manufacturer’s No Dollar Limit Warranty covering material and workmanship can be provided for this roof system.
Coatings
Roof coatings are generally used in a restorative capacity to prolong the lifespan of an existing roof. They may also be used to protect an existing roof from further weathering. Roof coatings may be applied to most flat roof systems as well as metal roof systems. A 10 or 20 year manufacturer’s No Dollar Limit Warranty covering material and workmanship can be provided for this roof system.
Metal Roofing
Metal roofs are typically formed from a steel or aluminum coil, with a bare metal or colored paint finish. They can be installed on solid decks or over open framing, with either exposed or concealed fasteners. In high salinity markets, such as the southeast, aluminum metal roofing is recommended due to the high resistance to corrosion. A 20 year manufacturer’s No Dollar Limit Warranty covering material and workmanship can be provided for this roof system.
