Marketing Plans Provide Direction

Ashley & Seth Marketing Plan
February 1, 2021 at 6:00 a.m.

RCS Influencers Seth and Ashley Pietsch say that a marketing plan provides clarity for everyone as to where the business is heading.

A marketing plan is of the utmost importance to running a successful business. Utilizing that tool and referring to it often can make all the difference. A good marketing plan is your blueprint to how the marketing strategy will be implemented. Your marketing plan should include things like, an outline of how the business is positioned, who your target audience is, how you will get this plan to market, what is the core mission, vision and the values and how will they impact your marketing message?

When you have created a solid marketing plan you will know that all the activities that are taking place within your business are feeding into a clear and chosen direction. Things will run smoothly knowing everything is happening together at the right time, right place, to the right audience and through the right channels.

It is important for your business to have a marketing budget set aside for things such as social media marketing, website upgrades, blogging, networking, merchandise giveaways, planning events, collaborating, etc. These things all lead to getting noticed, which leads to more traffic and more leads in the pipeline. The most successful businesses have at least one dedicated full-time marketing manager, executive or assistant to be sure that these things are always top priority, as they are often some of the most beneficial avenues to obtaining new clients and retaining them.

When you have a clear strategy and marketing plan everyone within the company has absolute clarity of where the business is going, its growth targets, and how they can contribute best to its success. When you analyze your strategies often you will see your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. You can adjust continuously which gives the best return on investment and the most morale within the team. This is where the growth happens.

So, the answer is most definitely, yes indeed a marketing plan is very important to your business, your employees and of course your customers. Knowing how to navigate their wants, needs and challenges consistently and delivering time and again to make improvements when needed will set you apart from your competitors and ensure trust within all aspects.
